Saturday Academy (Return Trip) Instructors

What is an Upward Bound Instructor:

Instructors lead monthly sessions at our Saturday Academy sessions (also known as Return Trips). Responsibilities include lesson planning, direct instruction, tracking student progress, managing paperwork, and maintaining a safe, supportive classroom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in any field.
Strong knowledge base in the subject(s) which you are teaching.
Ability to present knowledge to high school students in a hands-on learning environment.
Effective classroom management skills.
Desire to see our students succeed.

What is the Saturday Academy:

The Saturday Academy is a monthly Upward Bound event offering student instruction and enrichment. These occur on one Saturday each month from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Please see below for scheduled dates.

If selected, you will complete a form to let us know which Saturday Academy dates you are available. Depending on the number of instructors needed for that particular Saturday Academy, we will contact you a month prior to confirm your selection and provide you with all necessary information.
